palabras BIANCA I LAUREANO
If you’ve been missing the shrill sounds of The Mars Volta, the wait is over! With their fourth album release they introduce us to their new drummer and continue their sonic excursion into the netherworld. Heightening their psychedelic sound is the incorporation of strings and brass throughout. You will be pleasantly surprised as you witness the band's intrepid evolution.
A mashup of their usual rock, jazz, funk, Latin, metal is accompanied with an eerie story influenced by a haunted ouija board that you can read more about on the band's website (http://www.themarsvolta.com). With over an hour of intense ferocity, there’s no way for me to choose a favorite track. After all, isn’t that why we love The Mars Volta? Because they give us something to consume that normalizes chaos. Or maybe it is because some run to a dictionary to look up the title tracks. Listening to The Mars Volta increases your IQ.
