So you think you can dance? Salsa that is.
For eight years the New York Salsa Congress has curated this dance event for salsa aficionados that not only nurtures longtime salsa enthusiasts but also embraces those with a piqued interest in the dance form. The demand for the NYSC has grown so much that the event has already expanded abroad.
You might think something as grand as the NYSC is meant for professionals or hardcore dancers, but think again. The NYSC doesn’t exclude anyone, even if you have two left feet.
Salsa is about passion and soul, so regardless if you’re a pro or dance deficient, and if you simply love the music, this Labor Day Weekend, NYSC is the place to be.
For four days, the New York Hilton Hotel is house to an extravaganza of salsa performances, workshops, parties and the list goes on.

“The challenge is that you'll meet with people that you don't know and learn a choreography from instructors that you've just met to 3-5 minute song and perform it live on stage in front of over 3000 people. You have 4 days to learn what a dance team takes a month to learn.”
