Here is a look at the best chance we have for Olympic glory:

Dara Torres (Swimming): According to TIME, Torres is second only to NBA Hall of Famer-in-the-making Lebron James in this year's Olympics. Of course, the 41-year-old swimmer's age is all the media covers but the nine-time Olympic medalist enters her fifth competition in the best shape of her life. With her chiseled abs and Greek god-like biceps, DT is bound to flash by the rest of the world. Need proof? Her 53.76 seconds in the qualifying 100-m freestyle was better than she did in 1988...when she was 21.
Olympic Gold Chances: The mother of a two-year-old will add to her collection.

Carmelo Anthony (Basketball): After a weak performance during this year's playoff series against the L.A. Lakers, Anthony can redeem himself by pushing Team USA to the top. The half-boricua/half African-American pro led Team USA at last year's FIBA's Americas Championship with 21.2 PPG, 5.2 RPG and 1.4 APG. While King James and Kobe Bryant get all the attention, the Denver Nugget's franchise player is the team's true secret weapon.
Olympic Gold Chances: If Argentina's Manu Ginobili gets violently ill, then Melo can finally upgrade from bronze to oro.

Steven Lopez (Taekwondo): Even though he's sharing this experience with his siblings (Mark and Diana) Steven is still the sport's elite fighter. Already being a golden boy in his first two Olympics (Sydney, Athens), Lopez is practically a shoe-in, or shall we say a kick-in, to win the gold medal. If he doesn't achieve gold status (highly unlikely), Steven, Mark and Diana still created a huge buzz for their martial art. They are the first sibling trio to compete in the Olympics since 1904.
Olympic Gold Chances: Hell kicking yes!

Crystal Bustos (Softball): Softballs and Bustos don't get along very well. It's the result of Bustos constantly bashing them out of the park. In her Olympic appearances the two-time gold medalist has a combined eight homeruns and 15 RBI. In addition to being Team USA's big bopper at this year's games, she has also helped them win gold three times at the Pan Am Games.
Olympic Gold Chances: Bustos will bring home the oro in softball's last appearance at the games.

Javier Molina (Boxing): He recently turned the legal voting age but don't let his youth mislead you. He punches with the experience of a Don King pro. Yet, Molina isn't alone on his run at the rings. His fraternal twin brother Oscar will also be fighting for national pride. Yet, while Javier with be sporting the Red, White and Blue his hermano will compete for their parents' homeland of Mexico. With both competing in the 141lbs weight class let's hope they won't have to duke out their sibling rivalry in an Olympic ring.
Olympic gold chances: Yes...for Oscar.
