While everyone in the industry was in Las Vegas last week for the Latin Grammys, I was in Venezuela. We were doing promotions for the new CD. I am very happy with the support we are getting. The new CD has tracks with Rakim and Ken-Y, and Toby Love. Pharell Williams and Luny Tunes produced it.

Maracaibo is a real cool city. We were in Venezuela for this beautiful event called El Festival de las Orquidias. In 25 years, no one had taken the Doble Diamante. That’s where the audience screams and claps their approval or disapproval of the artist on stage. We got the Doble Diamante!

I also have a label now, On Fire Music. I’m really proud of my artists, especially this kid named Daniel. His single is coming out soon. Having a label is another part of being an artist.

Another part is having a clothing line. For now, T Bambino is sold exclusively in P.R. It’s an urban line, very young and fresh styles.

I’ve been thinking about this whole MP3 thing. In my opinion, it’s just a new stage in music. It just means that we, as artists, have to tour more. Next year, we are going to Europe. We just want to push the movement along.

Seems like I travel a lot. When I’m in New York City, I like to go to two places to eat: Deportivo and Victor’s Café. But in my down time, you can find me in the campo of Puerto Rico with the family.
