Felix Ortiz, best known for his stage name ZION, starts his artistic career as a young boy in Carolina, Puerto Rico. He was best recognized then for his romantic lyrics and his outstanding melodic voice; both joined by the contagious reggaeton rhythm, have garnered him praise as one of the best exponents of this genre. Throughout his professional career Zion has been cultivating highly recognizable hits placing tracks high in the charts and highlighted in releases such as: The Noise, Godfather, MVP, Desafio, Los Matadores, Dj Goldy, Anqueira Innovando, Blin Blin Vol. 1 & Mas Flow. As a solo act, he has collaborated in productions such as; King Of Kings of Don Omar, Los Rompe Discotecas of Hector El Father, Las Gárgolas, gaining the same success obtained previously on earlier productions where he featured with first class acts such as; Los Cazadores, Barrio Fino, Voltaje and Los Anormales.

“Motivando la Yal”, garnered the necessary recognition to catapult him as one of the great exponents of the genre, allowing him to perform in the most respected venues not only in the States but throughout Europe and Latin America including NY’s famed Madison Square Garden, Miami’s Arena among others. He has continuously toured in the States in Philadelphia, Hartford, Boston, Miami, Orlando, New York, and California with success spilling over to Canada as well. Hola…I’m here in Miami like always promoting the new album and just relaxing at home.

I also just finished a performance on the show “Cotorreando” on Telemundo. We performed the song “Zun Da Da” and it went really well.

There is also a new commercial featuring my song “The Way She Moves” that I did with Akon for the Heineken. I haven’t seen the entire commercial yet, only the teaser that is on the internet. But a lot of my friends have seen it and tell me it looks really good.

Speaking of Akon, I know he’s been getting a lot of negative controversy lately because of an incident that happened at a concert with a fan.

I wasn’t there so I don’t know what happened. All I know is that he is a total humble guy and very down to earth. I’ve seen him with his fans and little kids and he’s a good guy. I don’t know why there is so much negativity about it, probably because that stuff sells.

It’s hard to deal with that stuff. When I have a rowdy show or rowdy fans all I do is ignore them and go on with the show. But if someone hits me in my face, that’s a different story because I would have to defend myself.

Well this week I’ll be doing some interviews and I’ll be living it day by day.

Hey I'm sending my love from Puerto Rico where I just celebrated La Noche de San Juan, where everyone goes to the beach and is out there until midnight. Everyone is out there getting rid of bad spirits and bringing in all the good ones.

I’ve been out here just promoting this album and always working. When I do have some time off I like to go out with my friends and I like to party. I like to go out with las chicas but only when I have time.

I also love to shop, so when I’m in Nueva York, Miami or LA, I like to buy the very best. Some of my favorite brands are Gucci, Fendi, Rock & Republic, True Religion, Seven Jeans and Louie Vuitton.

I don’t even have time to go to the movies, or get DVD’s, maybe some bootlegs here or there, but not really.

I will be in Puerto Rico until tomorrow and then I’ll be back here on Sunday for a radio show.

I will write soon.

Hey there...it's Zion, just here to tell you what I've been working on...

I just finished the video “The Way She Moves” with Akon. It was good, we got a little bit of rain but it was cool. We shot the video in Hollywood, Florida and worked from like six in the morning ‘til 8 at night.

The video is about this girl and the way she walks, talks, moves, eats, everything. She’s walking on the strip and catches the attention of everybody and this biker even crashes cause he’s looking at her.

Me and Akon are basically sitting back in the car and she walks by and I look at her and she looks at me. She brings me to an alley and she goes on a trunk and then Akon comes in and he starts singing to her.

She’s flirting with both of us and then this other older dude comes in and she leaves with him. We had no luck with her. I thought I was winning but no. It’s a really funny video. It has a little action, a little comedy, a little of everything.

So this holiday weekend all I did was work. We drove to Washington D.C. We’re still here now. I won’t get a break until Christmas.

We’re on our way to New York, then Boston, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania and then I have the Puerto Rican Parade in New York. I’ll be singing on the Coors Light float.

Well the video will be out in two weeks, three weeks at the latest. Hopefully everyone will get a chance to see it.

"I don't even have time to go to the movies, or get DVD's, maybe some bootlegs here or there, but not really."

That is a LIE and I know it for a fact! I have been to his house and I have seen with my own eyes a whole STACK of DVD's..that are NOT bootlegs.
