Hey everyone, it's Liza Quin checkin in with ya. There are a lot of exciting things happening this spring, so here’s an update:
Thanks to your support, I am one of the most-played, unsigned recording artists on Miami radio. Power 96.5 is blasting my latest song "Never Say Never" on the power love hour, and your responses and love dedications have been so sweet. In case you haven't heard this song, you can check it out and download it at www.lizaquin.com ; The Power Love Hour is on from 10pm to midnight every night with DJ Def on 96.5fm. To make a love dedication or request "Never Say Never" hit up DJ Def at myspace.com/djdef96 or 305.550.9696 (561 in west palm; 954 in broward)
Thankfully, "American Dream," is being heavily supported on Miami’s Mega 94.9 and El Zol 95.7’s El Vacilon, the top-rated morning show in South Florida.
Also to be released in summer 2007 is a new song with Universal Music Latino artist Don Dinero, featuring me, titled "Drive Me Crazy."
Also look out for a feature with Universal/NextPlateau artist Yockie Joe on "The One" to be released summer 2007.
Now remember, none of this is possible without your help. Keep the requests coming!

What’s good everyone? It’s LQ giving you an update. I first off have to thank Miami radio for showing love to my single "American Dream." It is already on Mega 94.9fm’s weekend most wanted countdown, and Enrique y Joe from "El Vacilon" (Miami’s #1 morning radio show) have been so supportive of the song too. THANKS!
However, we MUST get the song up on the countdown so everyone can hear this powerful message. In case you still haven’t heard it (whatcha waiting for?), you can check it out at LizaQuin.com. Now, the best way to get the song moving up, is to email:
Kcomas@ccmiami.com and dmartinez@ccmiami.com
Also, I’ve got new music up on the website for you to check out. "Solo Pena" and "Other Girl." A salsa remix of "Solo Pena" is in the works right now, and the hip hop version is already hitting the clubs.
Look out for a killer collab with ma boy Don Dinero ("Pana Pana"), on his upcoming English album, which is going to be great. His anniversary party here in Miami was bumpin. I put a picture from the red carpet up on the myspace if you’d like to check it - Myspace.com/lizaquin.
Special thanks and shout outs to my friends Scott Meszaros and Gerry Rojas from US Concepts. Scott, great party for the Mahou launch at Versace Mansion. You kill ‘em every time! Ha...
And much love to Enrique Santos, Joe Ferrero, Mikey "Machete" and lovely wifey, Karina Diehl, The Bureau, Don Dinero, Yan Weynn (killed it on his "Solo Pena" verse) and Capla Music, El Zol95, Mega 94.9, Gabe Latino, Dimas Martinez, DJ Hyper, and DJ Africa...
And of course, nocheLatina for letting me share with all of you.
Thanks for supporting... I’ll be back soon.

Whats goin on! I'm back. I know its been a little while, but its been crazy! I was traveling doing some promoting and writing new songs. So far things have been great. The collaboration I did with Miami's own, Garcia and N.O.R.E., "Dejalo," is rotating heavily on Mega 94.9 Fm Latino and proud. Thanks to all who support the record. Keep those emails coming to the station: Kcomas@ccmiami.com; dmartinez@ccmiami.com.
I also had a great time with my favorite radio and TV hosts, Joe and Enrique from Miami's #1 morning radio show El Vacilon on el Zol 95.7 Fm. I performed a very intimate version of "So Wrong" on their TV show and also an acoustic version of "American Dream" live on their radio show. Check out a behind the scenes video clip from the TV taping at myspace.com/lizaquin.
"American Dream" is a new single everyone will get to hear very soon. It brings up the immigrant struggle, something Jorge, my producer and I were moved to write about recently. I'll keep you posted on where to check it out.
One more shout out to Porfirio Piña for inviting me to be a part of the BMI showcase, Al Otro Lado del Hip Hop, at S.O.B. in NYC. It really was a great night. So thank you!
I'll be back soon, and with a lot of updates. Thanks to all the blog reader comments. You guys are the best. Thank you for being so supportive.
Wishing everyone Happy Holidays! I will be in Miami with the family, and then it's back to work. I'll be in Panama December 15th and 16th performing at an important televised charity marathon. You'll know the details soon. Big things in 07! www.lizaquin.com
Much love,
LQ

I also had the chance to visit with internationally known DJ Frankie Needles for his Top 20 Latin Urban Countdown show. What a great time!
The interview was a blast, and I'll definitely keep you posted on when and where you can catch this national radio show, so you can hear my latest song "So Wrong." By the way, special thanks to all my Miami people for showing so much love to the song. Can't do it without you! In Miami keep requesting!!! POWER 96: (305)(954)(561)550. 9696

What’s up everyone? For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Liza Quin. I’m a Cuban-American recording artist from Miami who also is a host of the TV shows American Latino TV and Sonidos. I’ve also been writing professionally for years, and had the honor of working with such artists as Gloria Estefan, Ricky Martin, Mandy Moore, Jon Secada, and others. Of course, if you ever want to find out more, check out my website LizaQuin.com or hit me on the MySpace: myspace.com/lizaquin.
I want thank all those who supported my single last year, which featured El General, titled "Make Your Move" (Sube la Temperatura). If you didn’t hear it, you may have seen the video on HTV, Ritmoson, Mas Musica, or MTV Espanol. Having the pioneer of Spanish Reggae on my song was amazing. He definitely put a great flavor on this dance-hall, Spanglish pop joint.
Currently, I have a single hitting radio already called "Get Wet" featuring a very talented Rapper from Puerto Rico, currently working in Miami, Yan Weynn. Look out for him! He is definitely doing his thing... a flow like no other right now. You can check out the song on my sites, and if you’re feeling it, feel free to call your favorite station and request it. In Miami, Mega949 Latino and proud: 305.877.mega949
I’ll be keeping you guys posted on my upcoming shows. Right now I’m in the studio finishing up my album and I’m very excited. I’m working with the hottest up-and-coming producer out of Miami, Jorge Gonzalez, of The Bureau Entertainment (TheBureauEnt.com). And I will also have some hot collaborations. Can’t wait to let you hear it! I hope you enjoy it as much as I am enjoying making it.
Starting this month, I will be shooting a new season of American Latino TV, which will be coming to you with many new timeslots. For more info, visit AmericanLatino.tv. Don’t forget that right now you can catch re-runs and best-of episodes of the last award-winning season. You can catch it weekend nights on major outlets nationwide. The website has info on local listings. Love for you to check it out if you haven’t already. The show gives insight on Latino Culture in the U.S. and it’s in English. Something television needs more of!
Thanks again for supporting. Special shout outs to The Bureau, Big Media Communications,Yan Weynn, DJ Mingo, DJ Africa, DJ Gabe Latino, the Diabolical Ricke Allende and Capla Music. Much love to you guys. Until next time!
