Aroma - This venerable spot in Cleveland Park used to be a beloved Italian restaurant called “Roma.” Now, it’s a slightly upscale cigar bar called “Aroma” (get it?). While the trend nationally (even internationally) is to ban smoking in bars, at Aroma, they positively revel in it. The well-ventilated barroom, essentially a long hallway with a bar on one side and small tables on the other, offers a chic and low-key haven to enjoy a good cigar and an even better martini.

During the week, you can expect it to be rather peaceful and even local, but on weekends know that it will be mobbed with cigar-puffing politicos looking for a good time.
