Cafe Wha? - Want to be as cool like Beat icons Bob Dylan and Allen Ginsburg? You can start by hanging out at the same haunts. Now a part of New York legend, Café Wha? has become the breeding ground for some of the most influential musical artists and literary denizens. Jimi Hendrix and Bruce Springsteen played clearly in their careers at Café Wha? You can even say the same about comedians like Bill Cosby and Richard Pryor. Given it’s history, Café Wha? is both a local legend and a shrine for the hip around the world. Up-and-comers attempt to make it big on this stage and while they might not be tomorrow's superstars, you can certainly enjoy some quality music from local artists. Drinks are cheap, the food is good and the music is rocking.  And if you’re a fan of Crobar-esque nightlife, this is not the place for you. The rather cramped set-up inside the club my not be the ideal local if you’re claustrophobic but it definitely makes the atmosphere more intimate.
