Bowery Hotel Bar - It should be clear from the name alone that this new downtown venue is expanding on the trend of blending uber-hipster atmosphere with upscale hotel bar décor. This chic and stylish boutique space mostly hits the mark, and the dimly-lit Victorian-style lobby is already attracting a see-and-be-seen crowd that runs the gamut from suited preppies to East Village indie rockers. The plush antique (and faux-antique) furniture fixtures make for some comfy spots to explore the extensive cocktail list, but if you’re planning on doing so, don’t forget to pad your wallet.
