Sophie's - Sophie's is dirty. And it's, like, so dark and, like, so small. So, don't count on ordering a lychee martini at this threadbare East Village ghost trap that's been lingering on 5th Street for 25 years and counting. There's a pool table. There are posters. There are pinball machines that may or may not be operative. And there's a tiny little bar cascading with boozehounds like a litter of puppies competing for a teat. Sophie, if there were such a person, is a rare and rough-hewn bitch, saddled in overalls, a bad dye-job, work shirt and hair net who doesn't cater very well to femmie art types. For once.
