Echo, The - Despite its reputation for being decades past its glory, the Echo has some of LA’s hottest DJs spinning tunes that thunder through the sound system, as the packed crowd boogies in the tiny dance space. Sip a pint of perfectly tapped Guinness before sitting in the old-school vinyl booths, while the disco ball spins overhead. After you leave, make a point to come back for the monthly punk rock wine challenge. The most difficult thing about Echo, is finding the entrance, which, for some reason, looks more like an exit.
