Bird of Paradise - The cover charge is occasionally on the steep side, but worth it when you consider not only is it the only jazz club in the area, but the only place that consistently draws nationally known performers. If there's no one particularly special there that night, you might get to hear the sounds of the Ron Brooks Trio, the house band. Ron Brooks is the bassist and owner of The Bird.
