Bar Veloce - The latest incarnation of this Manhattan mini-chain is also Bar Veloce’s oddest move yet. The Soho space (one of three N.Y.C. Bar Veloce’s) closed a few years back to make way for Bar Tonno, followed by Room 4 Dessert – both short-lived ventures. Now, Bar Veloce is back in the same space, and has quickly attracted a steady crew of regular patrons to this incredibly narrow space. Those used to the first Bar Veloce, in the East Village, will have to adjust to a far less scruffy environment (think martini, panini, tramezzini and other things that end in –ini).
