Musso and Frank Grill - A Hollywood fixture since 1919, Musso and Frank is the oldest restaurant in town, and they try hard to remind you. With its conservative red leather and wood, classic dishes like leg of lamb with jelly, and classy gentlemen in red vests manning the bar, its easy to see why directors choose M&Fs as a shooting location for a “classic Hollywood” vibe. (Think Swingers and Ed Wood). The bar is in a spacious room on the right, and though they don’t play any music, the mellow chatter of the diners creates a pleasant enough ambiance. Be sure to order one of M&F’s famous martinis, stirred, not shaken, and served with an accompanying carafe.
