Barking Crab, Boston

Barking Crab - It started life as Venus Seafood, a season, semi-jokey fish shack type place on the South Side of Fort Point Channel overlooking downtown and Boston Harbor. The joke caught on, it seems, cause when it was transferred to new owners and became The Barking Crab, it expanded into a year-round restaurant. They kept the shack feel with tents, oilcloths on the tables and seafaring bric-a-brac adorning the “walls.” The new owners made slightly more ambitious changes to the menu – crabs can now be had in more than one way. The raw bar is still excellent and you can even get shark some nights. Wash it all down with a cold beer, watch the twinkling lights of Boston and thank God you are alive.
