Lotus - So, you’re out on a Tuesday or Wednesday and think that nothing is really going on for the night…then you pass by the infamous wooden doors of LOTUS. The doorman gives you a skeptical once over, but then realizes that you actually DO know somebody on the inside. The velvet rope is drawn and you enter what many New Yorkers know as “The Spot”. As one of the Meatpacking Districts longest standing club venues, this staple in NYC nightlife continues to draw sexy crowds and A-list celebrity faces. For many, having a dinner reservation might not be a bad idea. Not only is the food amazingly tasty, but it will eliminate the whole doorman experience. If you want your face to be remembered, just shake the doormen’s hands on your way out. Table reservations are obviously strongly suggested but they will also let you in for small price of $20, as long as you don’t dress like a complete idiot.

Clubs like this come and go. Populated by self-indulgent pretentious people that feel the need to be special with a hint of elitism before returning to thier boring office jobs where they are nobody. If thats not enough, they paid way more than they should have for the average drinks and food. Try a place wiht people are real and beer is cold and stop living in a fantasy where you yearn to be somebody you are not.

someone sounds like a serious hater (an angry ex of some type / jilted lover for sure), talking about the dj (1 of 17 that worked there) & the club lotus, those guys are good folks, i know them all, & i never had one, or heard of a problem once.

your personal issues is what ruins the integrity of good blogs & pages!

lotus & the staff (even the djs), was one of the best club experiences new york had to offer...

the club is great, the drinks even bettter, the djs are s#*! ,
esp that creep in the grotto where no one goes to. what ever happened to the quality dj's that dont have a reputation for spiking women's drinks with visine or g, he sucks as a electro dj too,
the crowd is good but with a pathetic excuse of a dj like this guy , this place is going down, i miss the quality djs and the wonderful staff in there, that club needs more female promoters too. i hope things change because with that creep in there, none of the lovely ladies will want to go in there, especially the asian girls.

LOTUS WAS GREAT

Lotus is theeee best. I went on a Wednesday nite and it was pretty crowded but i had a great time. I def recommend it to anyone that is looking for upscale nightlife on a weekday
