Tropicana Theater & Nightclub Bronx, Venue Description

Tropicana Theater & Nightclub - If you have to work the next morning, we bet a thousand bucks you’re going to call in sick. That’s because Tropicana Theater & Nightclub, at 1061 Home Street, is open all night. So the odds of you getting a good night sleep are closed to zilch – we predict you stumbling home around 8am and flopping into bed, forgetting to brush your teeth. And nothing wrong with that. The original Tropicana in the Bronx, Inspired by the glitzy Tropicana Cabaret in Havana, and the Tropicana in Las Vegas, was a Mecca for Latinos seeking first-rate dance bands, and floor shows. "Dancing under the stars at the Tropicana" became a infamous line for club which was famous for its Art deco interior and Deco stars hanging over the entire space. Now Located just Five blocks north from its Original Location at 915 Westchester Avenue is the new Tropicana at 1061 Home street off Westchester Ave. The New Tropicana pays Homage to it famous past with a carefully recreated art Deco interior as well as the original Deco stars.

new year 09 at tropicana
i had the best time there for new years. marcy place and toby love performed there but toby had to stop because the police shut down the club @ around 5am which was suppose to be open until 7am. but the promoters were giving out bands to el morocco(which was open until 12pm).but other than that its nice and the bouncers are nice, which surprised me because most bouncers are assholes. they have two rooms one spanish and the other was hop-hop, both rooms played good mixes of songs. but the downside was that there werent a lot of people. everyone dressed to impressed so you should check this club out. because i will.
