Utter crap service
Utter crap. Let me explain.
About a year ago, a couple of friends and I went to Paeez for some Hookah – all was fine, pricey, but fine. No real issues.
Last Friday, our same group shows up at the place at 7pm – turns out it’s an hour too early. We ask for hookah and the guy working there (who shall henceforth be referred as c*nt) ONLY tells us that it opens at 8pm. We’re disgruntled, but in evidence, we should have checked before coming. Whatever, we decide to wait out an entire hour.
Come 8pm, we go in asking for hookah once more. C*nt appears again, brings us in, but all of a sudden warns us that it’s considered to be a martini bar, not a hookah bar, and as such, we are all forced to pay $20 each for the equivalent cost of drinks, whether or not we drank. Now, two of us do not drink, so it was obviously ludicrous to cash that out on TOP of the hookah. When asked when this started, c*nt replies: “since I started working here”. We left.
Now, how much of a c*nt must you be? You saw us an hour ago, we ordered hookah ONLY, you tell us to come back an hour later while never mentioning the ‘compulsory’ $20 charge only for us to reappear and be told that we can’t have our hookah?! I came all the way to Toronto from Brampton for this crapfest that they call ‘service’? Couldn’t you even allow for a one-time exception – the bar was fricking empty when we stepped in at 8pm.
Point being: utter rubbish. You’d rather have your genitals slowly fed through a mincer than go there. Consider yourself warned.

Bull sh|t service
I am EXTREMELY angry and furious. Paaeez's management is absolutely disrespectful and almost gave me the impression that he is jugdmental and maybe even RACIST!

#1: My boyfriend had made reservations for 8pm. We called in 2 hours prior to our reservation to extend the time to 9pm. The woman on the phone said it was perfectly OK. We thought: GREAT!

#2: We arrive to Paaeez and only to be greeted by a rude hostess. (long blonde hair) We kindly said we had reservations under our name. She said:
"Uhhhh.. your reservation was at 8.. and it's now 9pm....".
We looked at her in amazement because of her rude tone, and corrected her in saynig:
"No.. we called and had it extended to 9pm.."
She looked at us and said "ook.. ill get u a seat anyways."

#3: We get to our seat, service was OK. Got our hookah. about 20 mintutes after we settled in.. a server tells us we have to MOVE because there was another reservation where we are seated. We thought:
"Are you serious..? you MUST be kidding me.."
She apologized kindly, and we moved. Everybody makes mistakes right? That was strike 2.

#4: We settle in our "new" area, and have a martini. Mind you, we were dressed in jeans, a nice shirt and clean attire overall. Everyone else was a little more upscale. Our friend arrived. Our reservation was for 5 seats. She sat down, and a while later the manager of the restaurant approaches us and tells her that she needs to move because the table next to us had a reservation for 20. I angrily but politely asked: why does she have to move? This is our space. He said:
"This is NOT a restaurant, it's a lounge. The couches are reserved for a space and time. The table next to you has a bigger party, so you need to move over."

HOW DARE HE SAY THAT TO A CUSTOMER??

After his insanely stupid and rude comment, I told him she will NOT be moving because WE made the reservation so we have a RIGHT so take up 5 couch spaces. (Our 2 friends were running late..) He repeated:
"THIS IS NOT A RESTAURANT"
We had enough. We stayed for another half hour to finish our hookah and drinks while the manager stood afar and continued to glare down at us with a dirty look. He treated other guests well with a fake tone here and there. And as soon as he spoke to us, his tone changed. I finished my apple martini (which was actually to be honest.. not bad), we paid the bill and left.

I am a student in the FOOD and BEVERAGE and HOSPITALITY field. I will tell EVERYONE I know the terrible experience I had at paaeez. Poor service, poor guest recovery, and DISRESPECT. Word of mouth is the fastest and most effective way to send a message to anyone. PAAEEZZ you are disgraceful to the industry, and to yourself. Go learn some respect, open your mind to other cultures and just learn to SMILE.

Your restaurant will fail if you continue to be disrespectful and judgemental.

Ablsolute s#*! .
The manager is a straight up asshole. Food is average and drinks are nothing special. They're racist punks and will treat you how you are dressed. I was dressed casual jeans and tshirt/ Everyone else in nice fancy attire. They treated everyone else like VIP and treated us like trash. Never going there again and spreading the word about their terrible attitude and NO respect.

Paeez is great!
Instead of getting drunk in my dorm, I'd much rather walk over to Paaez and smoke some shisha. The environment is great, low-key and comfortable. It's the perfect place to chill.
