Columbus 72, New York

been here a few times and really enjoyed myself

Columbus72 is the only real dance club on the upper west side. Have been a few times recently and always have a great time on the dance floor. the bartenders are heavy handed (always nice) and there are usually more women than men, which makes the scenery great. Was there this past weekend and they had the Yankee game on which was great also! When the Yanks won the party really heated up! This place is a must see.

i have had a good time everytime that i have good if you like a lot of latina's they have it sat is the best night fri are good so if have not gone you should check it out

My friends and I celebrated a birthday at Columbus72 last weekend. We had a blast!!! The music was great in both rooms and the Apple Martinis were the best. I read the other reviews and do not agree with many of them. I have found the door staff to be courteous and friendly and the staff very helpful. Some of us will be attending this weekend. I'm sure we'll have a great time!!!

Finally, a real nightclub uptown. No longer do I have to deal with getting in to the downtown clubs. Columbus72 is perfect. We went there this past weekend and had a blast. I reserved a section for my birthday party. It was easy. I was able to do the whole thing online at their website. We got right in and were shown to our section. There was great American music in one room and Salsa in the other. My friends and I had a fantastic time.

i'm a filmmaker who loves to salsa... i've been to many clubs in new york, and i was going to check out columbus 72 for the first time this evening, after much coaxing from my friends... HOWEVER, greeting me at the door was an incredibly RUDE security guy (i think his name was warren, or whatever)... i'm a new yorker, so it takes a lot (A LOT) to put me off... and trust me, he went there! what a way to turn someone off to a club! never do i step foot in that location again... if they can't be nice at the door to the ladies, there's plenty of other places to salsa dance in new york... big thumbs DOWN. haven't missed a thing these last few years i didn't manage to get here.

This Club is still Garbage....

This club gets a 1 because the security guards at this club are so shady!! I went to the bathroom here and i forgot my purse in the bathroom. I realized about 5 minutes later that it was missing. I went back to the bathroom and the lady who worked in there said someone found it and gave it to her, and that she gave it to security. So, I went to security and they sent me with this other security guard who supposedly gave my purse to coat check. I went with him to coat check and got my purse back. I realized my phone was missing and my 20 dollar bill. When I went back to the lady in the bathroom she told me that she seen a phone in it when the girl returned my purse and she handed it to security with the phone inside. When I asked the same security guard at the front that sent me to the coat check guy, he acted as if he never seen me a day in his life or remembered the situation. When asking every single security guard INCLUDING the guy working at coat check, he said he hasn't seen a phone yet and that no one turned in one either. I couldn't find the guy that took me over to coat check in the first place, but I'm pretty positive he took my phone and that all of them were in on it, because it's strange that the bathroom lady returned my purse with my phone inside and all of a sudden when it gets to them my phone isn't inside or my money.

Its only a 5 dollar cover charge for a WACKED OUT' WOMP WOMP OF A CLUB....Its in a Basement----Only about 2500 Square foot....And even there Vodka made a patron vomit after two drinks...WOULDN'T RECOMMEND!!!
