Underbar Boston, Venue Description

Underbar - The "under" in Underbar, in case you were wondering, refers to under the Caprice Lounge in the club-heavy theatre district. Underbar opened up pretty big in Summer '05 for Friday and Saturday nights, and they seem to have kept up the momentum. Most nights you’ll hear the Beantown standards of house or hip hop, but, on occasion, Underbar will throw in a little something else with 80’s, euro house, reggae or other international flavors. The soundsystem is tight and can make a mediocre DJ sound like a star. Good friendly vibe here from clubbers and staffers alike.

Underbar has been completely renovated....

The Sound System is amazing (courtesy of Angel Moraes)

and as far as bookings go, Underbar has been holding it's own against the other major house venues.. This year, so far, we have seen resident Angel Moraes, of course, M.A.N.D.Y., Danny Torrence, David Morales, Lee Burridge, Steve Lawler... and there is much more coming.

It's not the same Underbar as it was 2 years ago, and its a great atmosphere.. it's always a good time
