Via - Cushy sofas and plush burgundy banquettes fill the open, airy space of this Flatiron bistro by day and lounge and aspiring club by night. Two working fireplaces provide warmth and a cozy atmosphere, only things get a little too cozy on weekend nights when resident DJs blast beats and the sort of clientele willing to order bottle service outside the velvet ropes of Meatpacking pack the place. A three-bottle minimum is imposed for the "VIP" lounge upstairs, fetching $200-$300 a piece. Instead, visit from 3-7pm to take advantage of the $5 beer, $6 wine and well drink specials daily, or order their infamous Blueberry Mojito from the expansive marble bar. While there are no beers on tap, bottles include Corona, Heineken, Coors and Peroni, and no bottle of wine makes it past the $45 mark. On Friday nights, hookah and belly dancers make an odd appearance on the otherwise Sicilian-inspired menu du jour known for its 30 varieties of brick oven pizza.
