Summer may be unofficially over, but the parties are only getting hotter. The 25th anniversary of National Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15th-October 15th) is on its way and in time for the festivities, Grand Marnier and Rosa Mexicano restaurants have teamed up to create a special drink just for Latinos. The traditional Margarita, mixing together the spirit of Mexico (tequila), orange liqueur, and fresh lime juice is widely recognized as the number one selling cocktail in the United States. Over the years, this classic concoction has been revamped many times over. Now, we have the equally tantalizing Margarita Francesa, which simply reverses the amount of spirit ingredients from the traditional for a more vibrant flavor. The result is a smooth, thirst quenching elixir that highlights bold citrus and silky cognac. The Margarita Francesa may not be as potent as the original, but it’s certain to jumpstart any fiesta. Have some Latin pride and celebrate in style, like you always should.
