We’re always on the prowl for the most unique, tantalizing, and downright delicious Latin cocktails throughout the country, but there’s nothing like kicking back with a more traditional drink that pays tribute to our culture. One silky smooth, luscious concoction that we’ll be sipping on this spring is the Classic Poncha. This potent punch is one of the few that unites lip smacking honey and ice cold rum. In short, it’s the perfect refreshing elixir to jumpstart any garden brunch. This Classic Poncha recipe was given to us by Jose De Mereilles, chef and owner of Clubhouse Café in New York City. Not only is it simple and easy to make, but we dare you not to fall in love at first taste! You can order the Classic Poncha at this eatery with a plate of freshly made empanadas, or you can play bartender for a night and make this sweet number at home. Either way, you’ll be convinced that nothing beats a classic.
