Got agave nectar? If the answer is no, then you need to stock up on this yummy syrup pronto to prepare one of spring’s most delicious drinks. Agave nectar, which comes from the same plant used to make beloved tequila, is a golden natural sweetener that has fewer calories than sugar. Sounds like a sweet deal for night owls. For April, Haru Sushi in Manhattan will be serving patrons the Agave Cooler, a clean and fresh concoction that combines icy gin with agave. The cocktail also features a splash of thirst quenching soda water and handpicked basil leaves for a touch of zest that’s certain to wake up those sleepy taste buds. Fortunately, we were given the recipe for the Agave Cooler just so that you can jumpstart the weekend today. Happy drinking!
