Frozen, tangy, sweet, or simply potent, there’s no wrong way to enjoy the most popular cocktail in the country. The Margarita, one Mexico’s finest gifts, is the tequila-based drink that both ladies and gents can’t get enough of. According to sources, more than 185,000 Margaritas are consumed every hour in the US alone. The beloved lime libation has been enhancing happy hour since it graced the pages of Esquire. Lucky for us, the salt-rimmed elixir isn’t going anywhere. In honor of National Margarita Day (that’s today!), we’re savoring this yummy cocktail with a new twist. Some of the top mixologists in nightlife, including Tomas Delos Reyes of New York’s Standard Hotel, cocktail writer Colleen Graham, and Tequila Herradura brand ambassador Mark Drew, have provided us some unique Margarita recipes that are certain to jumpstart the fiesta this very second. Viva tequila!
