Salma Hayek to Host Costume Institute Gala

It turns out that next year's Costume Institute Gala will be hosted by none other than actress Salma Hayek, who’ll fill the Honorary Chair spot, assisted by hubby François-Henri Pinault. A wonderful honor for Hayek, we’re sure she’ll look dazzling in whatever the highly accomplished actress wears. Co-Chairs for the evening include Colin Firth, Stella McCartney, and Anna Wintour.

An awesome tribute to one of the most magnificent designers will go down as well to celebrate the much-loved Alexander McQueen. The Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum will unveil Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty (May 4-July 31), an exhibition celebrating the late designer's "extraordinary contributions to fashion.” It will highlight all of his beautifully adorned work since 1992.

Oh, to be a fly on the wall at that event. We’re totally jealous of Hayek! Maybe she’ll unveil a little sneak-peak in the weeks before the event for her fans.
