You may be recovering from the summer, or just this past weekend alone, but everyone is
already gearing up for this month’s highly anticipated premiere: season two of MTV’s hit reality series, “Jersey Shore.” Whether G, T, or L-ing, the only “situation” you really have to consider is what cocktails you’ll be serving. While the cast fist-pumps their way through the sandy shores of Miami, sit back, relax, and enjoy these “Jersey Shore”-inspired concoctions to serve at your viewing party. Snooki has already pledged her allegiance to one of our choices, but which of these will be your next It-drink? In time for the second season premiering tonight, prepare our picks for the top “Jersey Shore 2” cocktails as you welcome back America’s favorite guidos.
Top “Jersey Shore 2” Cocktail: GTL Tini
If there’s one routine the crew swears by, it’s GTL (gym, tanning, laundry), and we can bet that we’ll be seeing Pauly D and The Situation doing a lot more of it this season as they head down to the steamy city of Miami. Get ready to relive all the fist pumping, battling grenades, and plenty of GTL with an explosive martini that’s perfect to sip on whenever you’re doing any of these beloved pastimes.
Ingredients
2 oz. Three-O Grape Vodka
1 oz. Melon liqueur
Splash of Pineapple juice
1 Orange slice
Preparation
Shake with ice and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with an orange slice.
Top “Jersey Shore 2” Cocktail: Sammi Sweetheart Splash
This cocktail may appear seemingly sweet, but much like the guidette it was named after, it does carry a mean punch. Featuring cherry-infused vodka and slices of lemon for some added zest, the Sammi Sweetheart Splash is the ideal cocktail to savor before heading out for your daily tan. The Sammi Sweetheart Splash is also what you need for some liquid courage before confronting your man at a club over dry humping a bella with bigger assets than yours.
Ingredients
2 oz. Three-O Cherry Vodka
2 Lemon slices
3 Cherries
1 oz. Simple syrup
Splash of lemon-lime soda
Preparation
Muddle the lemon, cherries and simple syrup. Add vodka and soda. Shake with ice, serve in a martini glass, and garnish with a cherry.
Top “Jersey Shore 2” Cocktail: Gorilla Juicehead
The ladies of “Jersey Shore” can’t resist gorilla juiceheads which must be, in the words of JWoww, “completely jacked.” However, if you can’t find the right guy who knows how to inject enough steroids into his body right to sweep you off your feet, you can always settle for the cocktail variation. The Gorilla Juicehead highlights orange-flavored vodka and enough citrus juice to keep you energized when on the prowl.
Ingredients
1 ½ oz. Three-O Rangtang
¾ oz. Orange juice
¾ oz. Lime juice
1 Orange wedge
Preparation
Add all ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled shot glass. Drink shot and bite into the “boomerang” orange wedge.
Top “Jersey Shore 2” Cocktail: JWoww Bomb
After cheating on her boy toy with Pauly D, JWoww was in dire need of late night munchies. For those of us willing to pass on ham and water, you could whip up a JWoww Bomb instead, which includes grape vodka, an energy drink of your choice, and, like her wardrobe, not much else.
Ingredients
Three-O Grape Vodka
Your choice of energy drink
Preparation
Drop 1 ½ oz. shot of vodka into a pint glass of your favorite energy drink.
Top “Jersey Shore 2” Cocktail: Momma’s Boy Bloody Mary
While the other “Jersey Shore” cast members have made a name for themselves, self proclaimed mama’s boy Vinny makes headlines for weeping like a baby when his mother left him after a brief visit while filming the second season. For those in dire need of shaking things up, prepare a Momma’s Boy Bloody Mary. With tomato-infused vodka, salt, and pepper, this cocktail will add some much-needed heat to your life, especially if you’re daring enough to give yourself pink eye after hitting the dance floor with an overweight cougar. Mama would be so proud.
Ingredients
2 oz. Three-O Tomato Vodka
2 oz. Tomato juice
Salt
Pepper
1 Celery stick
1 Lime wedge
Preparation
Mix ingredients with ice. Garnish with a lime wedge and celery stick.
Top “Jersey Shore 2” Cocktail: Juicy Jolie
As quickly as this guidette arrived to the “Jersey Shore” house, the “half-ass firecracker just fizzled out real quick and made a loud noise.” However, will her appearance in the second season be as brief? Make a Juicy Jolie shot that’s both sweet and potent. Now you see her, now you don’t.
Ingredients
2 oz. Three-O Mango
1 oz. Orange juice
Preparation
Mix and drink in shot glass.
Top “Jersey Shore 2” Cocktail: Snooki Bubble Up
There’s no denying that the pint-size guidette has made the house of “Jersey Shore,” so we can only imagine what she’ll do next in Miami. Will she rekindle her pool fling with The Situation or finally settle down with the juicehead of her dreams? Either way, have a taste of Snickers with one of her favorite cocktails.
Ingredients
¾ oz. Lemon-lime soda
¾ oz. Cranberry juice
1 oz. Three-O Bubble Vodka
1 Lime wedge
Preparation
Combine ingredients with ice. Garnish with a lime wedge.
Top “Jersey Shore 2” Cocktail: Ron Ron Juice
This namesake drink became a favorite after it was first introduced by Ronnie, the muscle-bulging guido known for his emotional blowouts with “Sweetheart” girlfriend. Mark the occasion of the "Jersey Shore 2" premiere by mixing up a Ron Ron Juice. If you can handle an extra kick, add some vodka to this rum elixir (we recommend Van Gogh Black Cherry Vodka). You can also order the Ron Ron Juice at Ocean’s Ten in South Beach, where we heard they filmed scenes for the new episodes.
Ingredients
2 oz. Rum (We used Ron Abuelo Anejo)
2 oz. Cranberry juice
Cubed watermelons
Maraschino cherries
Preparation
Muddle 3-4 watermelon cubes and 3-4 cherries in a shaker. Add ice. Pour rum and cranberry juice. Shake vigorously and serve in rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with a cherry.
