Jennifer Lopez Gets Cool with Blue Glow

Before celebrities became perfumers, there was J. Lo who got glowing by becoming one of the first stars to debut a fragrance. It was 2002 when singer/actress Jennifer Lopez unveiled Glow and it continues to be a money maker. Fast forward to 2009 and the now 40-year-old released My Glow in honor of her newborn twins. However, the Latin diva was due for a comeback. With motherhood came a new film (The Back-Up Plan) and an album in the works (Love?), but what’s to become of her fragrance empire? In time for summer, Lopez reveals her latest perfume Blue Glow. While her eighth release features her signature hourglass bottle in honor of her famous figure, Lopez is going deep with her latest creation.

Blue Glow is a rich, summery scent that invokes sandy white beaches, creamy sun block, and tranquil waves cooling down sun kissed skin. Blue Glow’s twinkling flacon implies sapphire seas, but it holds a fruity-meets-floral concoction that’s reminiscent of golden afternoons bathing on the coasts of Puerto Rico. Shoppers will be instantly washed away in a sea of sensual aromas.

The whiff one will breathe in is a welcoming blend of mouthwatering tropical treats, such as ripe mangosteems and zesty oranges, yet its blooming flowers, including delicate water lilies and seductive roses, balances out its sweetness, making Blue Glow a more grown up scent. In other words, imagine what a screen siren relaxing on her yacht would smell like.

Love or loathe Lopez’s music, acting, or style, Blue Glow is hard to put down and like any Caribbean getaway, you’ll be thankful to have it. Lopez has an impressive career in creating some of the best selling fragrances for women and with Blue Glow, anyone can understand why: she knows what women want. Lopez is back and is already making waves for summer 2010.
