When Eva Mendes unveiled her new Calvin Klein ad in New York City, both residents and tourists couldn’t stop gawking at the racy photo, even calling it “vulgar.” However, the Cuban actress isn’t afraid of what critics have to say about her because she’s one confident Latina.
“I don’t allow myself to be typecast, but when I have to turn up the heat and turn up the sexuality and I do an amazing Calvin Klein campaign it’s very conscious, that’s no accident. It’s very methodical on my part,” Mendes explains to the press. “If I feel it's appropriate to show some nudity in the scenes then I go for it. As much as I use my sexuality, I have never felt exploited. I feel like it’s on my terms and I have no problem with it.”
No wonder Mendes is one of Hollywood’s most in-demand actresses. Then again, sex does sell and she knows this all too well. Looks like people are going to start saying, “Megan Fox who?” very soon!
