Remember Colombian cutie Catalina Sandino Moreno? The name may not ring a bell, but she starred as Maria in the Academy Award-nominated film, Maria Full of Grace. Since garnering success from the drama that everyone was talking about, she’s now ready to sink her teeth in a new role.
Moreno has signed to star as a vampire in Eclipse, the follow-up movie to Twilight. Her character is being described by author Stephanie Meyer as “a petite brunette with a soft voice who tries to create a newborn army of vampires.” Sounds pretty intense.
Moreno will be working alongside superstar cast Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Jack Huston, and Xavier Samuel. Eclipse is currently being filmed in Vancouver.
We have a feeling she’s going to make a hotter supernatural creature than Salma Hayek!
