When a celebrity puts any highly anticipated release on hold, you know something is wrong. Apparently, even divas get their share of shortcomings. Just ask Grammy Award-winning singer Mariah Carey!
For no apparent reason, Carey has pulled out of her upcoming “Today” show appearance, where she was scheduled to perform on August 28th to promote her upcoming album, Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel. NBC later announced that tween pop star Miley Cyrus would be taking her place.
In addition, Mimi has cancelled all major appearances, including VH1 Storytellers, Clear Channel Tribeca Show, and the MTV Video Music Awards. However, the biggest shocker was when she postponed the opportunity to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!
To add insult to injury, Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel has been reportedly pushed back to two weeks from its initial release date. The album is now scheduled to be officially released on September 29. In addition, her new single “Obsession” hasn’t been getting the same recognition by fans as her previous tracks.
Could Carey’s star be dimming?
