Pepsi Translates to “Pecsi” in Argentina

Are you craving for some cola to cool you down from the summer heat? If you’re in Argentina, then grab a Pecsi.

People in Argentina, as well as many others in Latin America, tend to pronounce certain English words differently, particularly "Pepsi." Sure, that’s not news, but Pepsi Cola has finally recognized this fact and have launched a new campaign announcing that “Pepsi” products sold in the Argentine market will now appear as “Pecsi.” The reason? Customers will feel as if the brand is made for them, leading to higher sales.

Now that’s one refreshing move. But the real question is, will other products go more Spanish-friendly?
