Latin pop star Paulina Rubio’s Miami Beach home became a prime target for thieves this past weekend. Not only did the burglars managed to successfully enter, but a remote to the front gate and keys are now missing. La Chica Dorada was in Spain promoting her new album Gran City Pop at the time.
According to Miami Beach police, the break-in was reported on Saturday. Rubio’s stepfather Luis Rivas found the doors wide open and footprints inside. Despite the incident, the Grammy-nominated artist took some time to let fans know via Twitter that everything is fine.
According to Rubio,
“Last night someone broke in to my house in miami but I’m glad that the police already have a lead from the security cameras…Willgotthem!”
People, if you’re rich and famous, don’t let the whole world know where you are on Twitter every second. You’re just giving potential robbers the upper hand!
