Are you ready for June 21st, the day when summer officially begins? With the deadline for leaving the oversized tees, cover-ups, and ubiquitous black one-pieces behind, many of us are wondering how we’re going to expose our bodies in bikinis on a beach full of strangers? Easy! It’s all about knowing how to prepare your figure for bikini season rather than just tying on a two-piece and wishing for the best.
Luckily, I was able to speak to reigning bikini princess Kim Kardashian about the best ways to prep yourself for the beach.
nocheLatina.com: When it comes to preparing your skin for bikini season, what are some great tips and products that you would recommend?
Kim Kardashian: Scrubs are really important to exfoliate skin! I use Caress Evenly Gorgeous Body Wash that has burnt brown sugar in it which exfoliates the skin. It’s a body wash so it’s gentle enough to use every day.
nocheLatina.com: Seems like it’s important to have an even tan before you bare your bikini body. What is a safe way to get golden without exposing yourself to UVA/UVB rays?
Kim Kardashian: I love spray tans! I now live by them after I was recently in Mexico and fell asleep in the sun and got an awful sunburn. You can get one anywhere now! They make you look tan and healthy before you even start lying out.
nocheLatina.com: What are the best styles and fashion tips to help different body types bare it all on the beach?
Kim Kardashian: You definitely need a bikini that fits you! For my more hourglass body, I always need bikini bottoms that tie and a triangle top that adds support.
nocheLatina.com: Who designs your favorite bikinis?
Kim Kardashian: I love Caroline D' Amore bikinis! You can get them at ShopDashOnline.com.
nocheLatina.com: What are some ways one can dress up their bikinis?
Kim Kardashian: I think it’s a must to have a good cover up! Never walk around a hotel or on the streets with just a bikini. A good sarong or long men’s button-up shirt is super cute. Even a casual sundress is great.
Now that we know the tips, it’s just a matter of putting down that piece of chocolate cake and taking a quick 4-mile long run. Happy bikini shopping!
