If you live in Sin City and are hungry for some real Latin nightlife, then get ready for this major music announcement: Carlos Santana will be arriving to Las Vegas this May.

Starting on May 27, the recently opened Joint “will be the only place west of the Mississippi” where fans will be able to watch Santana perform live all the way through 2010. The legendary musician will be doing about 36 concerts per year at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.  Tickets for the shows will range from $79-200 and performances through September are currently on sale.

“Bringing Santana to the Joint at Hard Rock elevates the entertainment options in Las Vegas,” says John Meglen, President and Co-CEO of AEG Live/Concerts West. “AEG Live set the standard for major residency shows in Vegas with Celine, Elton, Cher, and Bette over at the Colosseum, and now we are setting the standard for rock and roll residencies with this new deal.”

According to Billboard Boxscore, Santana's arena and amphitheater tour in 2008 grossed $15.6 million from 38 concerts that attracted nearly 390,000 concertgoers.  We can only imagine how much the “Black Magic Woman” singer is going to earn this year!

In case you’re not convinced that the King of Latin Rock is back, check out this official statement that we received below:

The Supernatural Santana: A Trip Through the Hits concerts will find the musician performing a wide range of songs throughout his career, including "Jingo," "Evil Ways" and "Into the Night," among many others. Santana will be accompanied on stage by band members Chester Thompson (keyboards), Karl Perazzo (timbales), Benny Rietveld (bass), Dennis Chambers (drums), Raul Rekow (congas), Andy Vargas (vocals), Tony Lindsay (vocals), Tommy Anthony (rhythm guitar), Jeff Cressman (trombone) and Bill Ortiz (trumpet).
