As many anticipate who will win at this Sunday’s Oscars, Jessica Alba was already hit with a major blow by being named the worst Latino actress in an online awards announcement.
The new mother was granted two “prizes” at Latina.com’s second annual Lazzie Awards-including worst actress in “everything she was in last year” and for her leading role in the 2008 flop The Love Guru.
Wait, wasn’t Jessica Alba on the cover of Latina a few months ago where she appeared in a less than believable photo shoot in tribute to Alfred Hitchcock?
However, Alba wasn’t the only famous Latino to receive a Lazzie. Mexican actor Diego Luna was also named worst actor for his role in the biopic drama Milk. Javier Bardem was awarded “Ickiest Onscreen Chemistry” with his co-star Scarlett Johansson in Vicky Cristina Barcelona. Eva Mendes won for “The Setting Us Back Award for Negative Stereotype in a Move,” and Victor Rasuk was granted the “No Espeak Espanish Award” for his role in Che.
