It comes as no surprise that Yankees baseball player Alex Rodriguez finally admits to using steroids in his past. We don’t think it’s cool, but then again, how many athletes have relied on muscle juice to build more strength? However, we’re definitely not cool with A-Rod’s super lame excuses for using steroids to begin with.
In an exclusive interview with ESPN, he states,
“When I arrived in Texas in 2001, I felt an enormous amount of pressure, I felt like I had all the weight of the world on top of me and I needed to perform, and perform at a high level every day.”
Can you hear the violins? He’s goes on further to say,
“Back then, (baseball) was a different culture. It was very loose. I was young, I was stupid, I was naïve. And I wanted to prove to everyone that I was worth being one of the greatest players of all time.”
Oh yeah, and did we mention that Alex supposedly didn’t know which banned substances he took? You mean you don’t even “know” what you’re injecting yourself with? Right.
Alex, give us a break!
