Now, we found out that Calle 13 is taking it old school! The Puerto Rican duo will unveil their new single “Electro Movimiento” on January 27th.
Before the video debuts, Myspace Latino is sharing a special backstage look at their recent concert. Plus, they will show footage from the making of “Electro Movimiento” on January 23rd. The single is already being described as “an ‘80s freestyle throwback jam.”
Unlike any previous Calle 13 song, “Electro Movimiento” finds the five-time Latin Grammy winners fusing their renowned satiric wit and musical experimentation with synthesizer sounds straight from ‘80s. If you’re an ‘80s baby, this era was known for big hair, loud makeup, freestyle club hits, and leggings.
With Miami’s Afrobeta joining Calle 13, this video is being classified as a comical visual feast.
