We can’t say goodbye to 2008 without Christina Aguilera making some news.
For those who haven’t seen the highly talked about film, The Spirit, starring fellow Latina Eva Mendes, Christina’s latest song “Falling in Love Again (Can’t Help it)” is featured on the soundtrack.
Speaking of the platinum blonde, everyone has been comparing her new futuristic look to that of New York City-based pop star Lady GaGa. Could the Grammy-winning songstress really steal someone else’s material? Say it isn’t so!
The 22-year-old finally put the rumors to rest when she told the LA Times that she had only recently heard of Lady GaGa, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Germanotta. Christina told the LA Times then that she had only recently heard of GaGa and added that, from pictures and videos, she couldn’t tell if GaGa was a man or a woman!
"I'm not bothered by that," says GaGa in response to the commentary. "My performances and music are intended to be provocative, to push sexual boundaries. If anything, I was excited that she (Aguilera) picked up on that undertone in my work." She added: "I would so love to work with her. I think she's amazing. I listened to her when I was a little girl."
You know Christina, a duet between the blondes would end the rumors for good and garner new attention for your upcoming album. There’s no denying that GaGa is hot on the scene and isn’t leaving listeners hanging anytime soon.
Stay tuned!
